Apple iPad launches April 3, Pre-order March 12

The Apple iPad, a tablet device from Apple that CEO Steve Jobs calls, "magical and revolutionary," will finally reach consumer hands and slide into really large pockets on Saturday, April 3. Starting Friday, March 12, consumers can place a pre-order online or visit their local Apple Store to reserve one for pickup in April.

The Apple iPad was supposed to launch in late March but it is possible that the short delay is due to production issues which are rumored to be limiting supplies of the hyped and anticipated device.
