I Want This $49M San Francisco Penthouse
I've always wanted to live in San Francisco, but have been unable to rent, let alone buy, a home in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. If I win the lottery soon, this is the house I want in San Francisco.
The penthouse has more than 20,000 square feet, including 2,900 square feet of terraces to get 360-degree views of many San Francisco landmarks.
The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is across the street, and the Metreon is just as close, with shops, movie theaters and plenty of fun places to explore. And don't forget Buca di Beppo, a fun Italian restaurant just down the road on Howard Street.
But much better than the location is the home, a two-story penthouse with floor-to-ceiling glass walls 22 feet high to give you full views of what you're paying to see.
It has four fireplaces, a fitness room, six garage bays, home theater, library, security system, spa and hot tub, steam room, wine cellar and grotto, bonus room, guest suite, sun room and is hi-speed Internet ready.
Being part of the St. Regis, the owner will get access to building amenities, such as a concierge, courtyard, doorman, health club, parking, pool and other services.
The apartment's been on the market since Nov. 25, 2008, so there shouldn't be a rush to go out and buy it fast. Unless I come up with $49 million soon.
