We Rule: Ngmoco's FarmVille-style game

iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad game maker extraordinaire ngmoco seems to be cottoning on to the appeal of Facebook games like Farmville, according to an IGN preview of their upcoming game We Rule. Much like Farmville and its ilk, We Rule centers around earning gold, experience points and "mojo" by performing simple tasks like growing crops, erecting building and generally managing a growing populace of tiny characters. Personalizing your town' layout and mix of industries seem to be the name of the game.

Where We Rule takes the concept a bit further than the average Facebook game is through interaction with neighboring towns. Instead of simply sending free gifts to your neighbors, in We Rule you and your friends can actually work together to accomplish complex tasks. IGN's preview gives an example where you might place an order for a flying broom from your friend's Magictorium, and both of you gain gold and experience from the transaction. Sound like an interesting twist on the genre, and we can't wait to give it a try.
