House Panel to Ask Experts About Unwinding Stimulus

Updated

The House Committee on Financial Services, chaired by U.S. Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) will soon meet to consider when would be the best time to unwind the stimulus by the Federal Reserve. The hearing, titled "Unwinding Emergency Federal Reserve Liquidity Programs and Implications for Economic Recovery," was scheduled for Wednesday, but was postponed because of weather conditions in Washington, D.C. The capital is forecast to receive 10 to 20 inches of snow between Tuesday and Wednesday, on top of the 2 feet that fell last weekend.
