Ford Sweeps North American Auto Awards as Fusion Hybrid Takes Top Honors
New model debuts are of course the things of which new-car shows are made, and Ford will debut two new versions of its Focus subcompact car, including an all-electric, zero emissions version to be built in Michigan, according to Edmunds.com. The Dearborn, Mich.-based company will also unveil the newest version of the Focus, due for the 2012 model year. The new Focus will be equipped with a new two-liter four-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic transmission that is expected to exceed the current model's 35 miles per gallon highway estimate, although Ford hasn't yet revealed mileage figures for the new model.
