FarmVille Llama vs. Alpaca: There's a difference

The Llama and Alpaca are two new animals surfacing in FarmVille that seem to be causing some confusion. Although the Llama and Alpaca closely resemble one another, there is a difference!

The white FarmVille Alpaca is currently only available through the Royal Blue & Pink Ribboned Mystery Box and is not purchasable in the FarmVille Market. It is noticeably more furry than the Llama.

The not-yet released FarmVille Llama is tan colored and is visibly different from the Alpaca. The Llama was sent to us by a FarmVille Freak and was spotted in FarmVille on someone's farm.

So what is the difference between the Llama and Alpaca in real life?

"The llama and alpaca are only known in the domestic state, and are variable in size and of many colors, being often white, brown, or piebald. Differentiating characteristics between llamas and alpacas include the llama's larger size and longer head. Alpaca fiber is generally more expensive, but not always more valuable. Alpacas tend to have a more consistent color throughout the body. Alpacas are considerably smaller than llamas, and unlike llamas, alpacas were not bred to be beasts of burden but were bred specifically for their fiber. Alpaca fiber is used for making knitted and woven items, much as wool is. These items include blankets, sweaters, hats, gloves, scarves, a wide variety of textiles and ponchos in South America, and sweaters, socks, coats and bedding in other parts of the world.Commonly unknown, llamas do not have eyelashes. However, their cousin the alpaca does." (Source: Wikipedia)
