Last-Minute Shopping Boosted Holiday Sales

It's official. When it comes to holiday shopping, we're a nation of procrastinators. Tallies of holiday sales show the week of Christmas -- the seven-day period ending Dec. 26 -- was golden for retailers, with sales up 2.3% over last year's numbers, according to the International Council of Shopping Centers.
