Mafia Wars schedules maintenance downtime

While teed off virtual mobsters have continued to rail against Zynga and Mafia Wars for the game's connection problems and untested features, the Facebook game will have a scheduled maintening downtime on Friday, December 18 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. PST "to improve performance and prevent additional issues."

This is following a patch on Wednesday, December 15 which was designed to fix "adding back fight loot, correcting Moscow episode progress issues and improve the sending and receiving of gifts." We're not sure if this series of quick changes has been spawned by overwhelming number of user complaints or is just business as usual. Stay tuned to find out what changes are made to Mafia Wars after the game comes back online.
