Why is my GPS showing fruit in the road?

Updated

As the family is getting ready to go plan for holiday driving, many drivers wish that they could ditch the whole affair for some quality gaming time. Well, if you have an iPhone or Android-based mobile device, Waze will help get you to where you want to go and offer up a game of "vehicular Pac-man." See, you can have fun while driving.

Yes, the free social GPS application that lets you know where to find the cheapest gas and how to avoid that cop behind the sign also lets you gobble up street pellets. And with a new update that launched in late November, players can now pick up fruit in the road on the way to Grandma's house. As an on and off user of Waze on iPhone, catching up on traffic alerts, speed traps, accidents or local construction projects, Waze can help to get you home faster and cheaper than that GPS you got last holiday. Of course, we've been prone to taking side streets, different highways, and nearly down someone's driveway on the quest for road pellets and fruit.

While Waze comes with several limitations such as only being able to get users to a location within a 200 mile radius, which makes it less worthy than those expensive GPS apps on iPhone. But if you're looking for a free and fresh way to travel via GPS, Waze will let you gobble up the road with a lot less stress.
