Chuzzle gets fluffier on iPhone

Updated

PopCap's furry take on match-3 games, Chuzzle, is now available for iPhone and iPod Touch. The goal is to match three or more furballs of the same color, called Chuzzles, vertically or horizontally. Doing so causes them to explode into puffs of fur and happiness.

The team took the game so seriously that it brought John Raptis, designer and developer for the original PC version of the game, back to help evolve Chuzzle for the iPhone world. Four modes (Classic, Zen, Mind-Bender and Speed) deliver the game's addictive original gameplay, a stress-free non-timed version, a sliding puzzle take on the original and a fast version for Chuzzle pros. A trophy room will also show off any of the 20 available trophies that players earn and a new option called Scrambles lets players re-shuffle the board in case they run out of moves.

Following in the footsteps of fellow PopCap games gone iPhone (Bejeweled 2, Bookworm and Peggle), the company also confirms that a version of Plants vs. Zombies will soon join the family.

Chuzzle for iPhone is now available for $4.99 through Apple's App Store.
