Zynga dominates Top 25 Facebook Social Games for December

ISG has compiled a list of the top 25 social games on Facebook according to user counts, and Zynga is unsurprisingly dominating the list. Out of the top ten, six of Zynga's games were present. FarmVille took the top slot with a whopping 68.9 million users and a growth of 6.1 million users since last month, while other mainstays such as Mafia Wars and Texas Hold 'Em Poker stayed near the top as well. Playfish saw two games in the top ten, with Restaurant City and Pet Society sitting comfortable at fifth and tenth place, respectively.

Outside of the top ten there is a smattering of games from other developers, including Mobsters 2, Bejeweled Blitz, and Country Story. Perhaps most interesting is the massive growth of total users between 2008 and 2009. The highest game in 2008, Lil' Green Patch, had 6 million users. All but the bottom five games in the top 25 for 2009 exceed that number, with Farmville actually getting more than that in new users between November and December.
