Rumor: Facebook Coming to PlayStation 3

Just as word that Microsoft's Xbox 360 would be getting access to Facebook, a series of pictures depicting a Facebook link from that PlayStation 3's main menu tool (XMB) were quickly confirmed as authentic. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe also told the UK-based site, CVG that more details regarding Facebook integration would come soon.

While the update appears to connect one's PlayStation Network account to the popular social networking services, the leaked screenshots and Sony's admission about their authenticity didn't reveal whether social gamers might get access to FarmVille, Mafia Wars, Pet Society or other popular gamers. We'll keep our fingers crossed.
