NY Woman Arrested: Gave Rum to Teen Snow Shovelers
Silvia Deleon of White Plains, New York thanked the two teen boys who shoveled her driveway by serving them rum. Then the two offered to dig out her car. Next, Deleon hightailed it to the liquor store, bought a second bottle of rum, and a good time was had by all, reports the New York Post.
The legal drinking age in New York state is 21. The boys are 17 and 18. When they returned home, their parents perceived that they were drunk and called the police. Deleon was arrested and charged with unlawfully dealing with a minor.
Probably the boys would have been even more delighted had Deleon showed her gratitude instead with a twenty dollar bill, each.
