Stocks set for a flat start ahead of housing data, earnings

U.S. stocks are poised for a flat start, as stock futures drifted slightly higher Tuesday morning. This follows yet another sell-off day on Wall Street despite generally strong earnings. This morning more earnings are to come, and investors will also look for direction from several economic releases, including housing and consumer confidence.
