FarmVille's New Mystery Boxes, Unboxed!

Something very mysterious is going on in FarmVille. New "mystery boxes," similar to those in Pet Society, have appeared in the store under decorations. These boxes cost 15 FarmVille dollars (the equivalent of three real-world dollars) and yield rare items you can't buy in the game. Here's our official first unboxing of these intriguing new items.

First, we bought three mystery boxes from the store, and placed them on our farm. Our perky lady farmer opened them, and in a puff of smoke, they disappeared. That was followed with pop-up windows detailing our disoveries, and our new loot appeared in the gifting menu, which we snagged and incorporated them into our farmscape.

What did we get? Out of our three boxes, we received a lounge chair, fire pit and striped rest tent.

These items are cute, but it left us wondering -- did we get our money's worth? We paid 45 FV dollars for a few items that seem almost a little too 'normal.' Granted, opening each box gave us 60-80 experience points, and these items can be sold for a few hundred coins apiece, but we were expecting some thing a little more... spectacular. Bat wings for our farmer? Some giant beanstalk seeds?
