Stocks set for a higher open ahead of busy earnings week

U.S. stocks are poised to rise Monday morning in anticipation of a busy earnings week ahead. Stock futures indicate U.S. stocks will follow international markets higher.

Investors believe corporate earnings show the economic recovery may be stronger than thought. Another positive: China announced it will no doubt manage to reach its GDP growth target for the year.

One worry is rising oil prices. Crude jumped above $79 a barrel -- a fresh 12-month high -- before retreating.
