Stocks set for a lower start on a day full of earnings, economic releases

U.S. stocks are poised to start the day after the Dow closed above the 10,000 mark in a steady manner with futures mixed and trading in a bound range. Third quarter earnings season rages on with Citigroup (C) and Goldman Sachs (GS) reporting. In addition, a new wave of economic indicators will be released, including a key inflation gauge, data on labor and two key regional indexes.
