Census Bureau reports shows where income's hot, where it's not

Want to earn top dollar? Then you might want to consider moving to the East Coast. Where you don't want to live if income is your raison d'être? The Southeast.

According to statistics just released by the U.S. Census Bureau, the difference between the highest-earning state (Maryland) and the lowest (Mississippi) is a whopping $32,755. Adjusting for the relative costs of living, a Mississippi resident of Biloxi would have to earn $55,977.89 to match the living standard of this average Maryland worker.
