Monopoly City Streets Reset Begins September 17

Updated

If you're one of the thousands who have checked out Google and Hasbro's joint project -- Monopoly City Streets -- it's likely that you've run across some noticeable problems with the game. Since its launch last week, there have been numerous reports of server errors and several reported instances of cheating.

The folks behind the scenes have been working to stabilize City Streets, which will be followed by a complete reboot of the game. That restart will take place on September 17 at 10 a.m. EST, and the game will be out of commission for 12 hours to a full day.

Once the game is restarted, everyone who has previously played the game will be forced to start over from scratch, including registration (does that mean I have to give up my awesome moniker of 'Admiral Goad' post relaunch?).

In addition to fixing bugs the official blog says this new version of City Streets will also have some "improvement to the gameplay," though what those improvements will be have not been specified just yet.
