FarmVille and Mafia Wars: Take A Sneak Peek Behind the Scenes

Updated

"We could be the way that people connect to their friends and family," sounds like something you'd hear from a Google or an Apple honcho. But the statement is just one of many made by Zynga CEO, Mark Pincus in a video that showcases the company and the people who've created such social gaming staples as Vampires, Mafia Wars, YoVille!, FarmVille and Pirates.

While the video doesn't unveil Zynga's special sauce for making its games so popular, the video gives players an insider's look into Zynga's HQ. Speckled with cubes full of Red Bull, brightly colored walls and lots of dogs (the company is named after Pinkus' now departed dog), it offers the type of marketing vibe that we remember from a once small company with a big idea... Google.

Sure, there's no Google of gaming but with Zynga's drive and focus, it's clearly part of the plan.
