On Sale Now: Red Envelope, Pier 1, Target
Something about the recession that puts a big smile on my face - the sweet smell of sales. And now that people are buying a lot less and saving a lot more, it's uncommon to find a retailer who hasn't put up the red "sale" sign.
We at RentedSpaces don't want you to waste time on the Internet, searching for a sale. (After all, that's what we're here for.) So from now on, expect a meaty round up of the biggest home décor and furniture discounts on the Interwebs from our favorite online retailers every Tuesday and Thursday.
Check out what we dug up for you today.
Red Envelope, an online retailer known for selling elegant gifts with an old-world feel, has marked down many of its popular items 15 to 80 percent. This cute set of four "Cheers" Champagne Flutes is $35, down from $50. As an additional perk, the company is throwing in another 5 percent discount on orders made today if you use promo code SRCHSave5.
Target's "clearance" tab has been featuring couturier-designed home accessories for quite some time. However, this week, the megastore offers customers a discount on wall décor and picture frames. Buy two wooden frames, two sets of wall decals or wall art, and save 10 percent. If you buy three items, you'll save 15 percent. If you purchase by Sept.. 19, you may even score free shipping!
If you like the more traditional look, check out the fall-inspired furnishings at Pier 1. Currently, the retailer is offering a 25 percent discount on everything from centerpieces and place mats to sofas and chairs. Peruse the clearance section, too, for big discounts on ceramic vases and woven platters.
