Thomas the Tank Engine play date Saturday at Toys R Us

Thomas the Tank Engine fans should head over to Toys R Us on Saturday, Sept. 12, for a free Thomas and Friends play date.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature prizes and games to celebrate the new Thomas movie "Hero of the Rails." Materials for the activities and the freebies will be available while supplies last.

The freebies include coloring sheets, Thomas trivia and a Thomas trading card holder.

Toys R Us is also giving away buy-one-get-one free coupons to the movie "Hero of the Rails," which must be used at participating Kidstoons theaters.
