I've always thought of the "His" and "Hers" kitsch as the plague of Generation X. Each summer, Brooklyn's Coney Island and Fort Greene flea markets swarm with 40-something tourists, delighting in anything marketed with these simple, three- and four-letter words. From souvenir T-shirts and mugs to commitment jewelry, "His and Hers" has become synonymous with "tacky."
