To cut budget deficit, Schwarzenegger signs ... everything!

Updated

Don't say Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is not giving his all to help California right its fiscal ship-of-state. In an effort to raise more money for surplus state goods offered for sale on EBay (EBAY), Craigslist and other Web sites, the famed "Governator" has offered to sign any item that is sold. The idea is that any item -- be it a surplus chair, desk, table, computer screen, or even a car -- will be worth more with his John Hancock.

According to the Associated Press, Schwarzenegger has already autographed 15 car visors of unused state vehicles in an effort to increase their selling price. As outlandish as the tactic sounds, it has previously borne fruit: earlier, a signed leather jacket with the governor's seal sold for $30,000.
