Free dinners for kids at IHOP through Sept. 13

Updated

IHOP restaurants are giving free dinners to kids 12 and under from its "Just for Kids" menu through Sept. 13.

It's only valid if a parent buys a meal for his-or herself, so don't think you can walk in with your kid and eat half of his pancakes or chicken strips and get away without paying.

The free meal for children is for families who eat at IHOP from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily and is limited to one free kid's meal with each adult entree purchase. The promotion began Aug. 17.

Drinks aren't included unless otherwise specified on the "Just for Kids" menu, according to an IHOP press release. And the offer isn't valid with any other discounts, coupons or specials.

IHOP's "Just for Kids" menu includes cheeseburgers, grilled cheese, macaroni and cheese, chicken strips, fish, fruit and, of course, pancakes.
