Party Girl: Mini-Size Your Party
Gather up a group of friends and lay out a small-but-mighty spread of scaled-down versions of some classic foods. A few to try:
- Cheeseburger Sliders from your grocer's deli (look for them with the other fresh, packaged appetizers)
- Mini Pigs-in-Blankets
- (Frozen) Mini-Quiche
- Spinach-Feta Phyllo Cups
- Baby Veggies with Dip
- 1-Bite Brownie Sundaes: put one "1-bite brownie" (available in most grocery stores' bakery section) into a small dish or ramekin, microwave for 10 seconds, top with aerosol whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
And it wouldn't be a Party Girl party without some libations, so why not whip up a few rounds of miniature cocktails, a.k.a. shooters?
A bit morbid perhaps, but this would be a killer theme party to throw for a friend who's just been ... wait for it ... downsized. Hey, we all need to look for a laugh in this economy!
