Making extra money is simple with Jobpic

Looking for a simple way to make some extra cash by selling your skills to the highest bidder? If so, then the recently launched Jobpic, an online auction site for services, may be just what you're looking for.

Jobpic is essentially an eBay for your talent; letting you turn your skills into cash for customers locally or globally.

Jobpic is new so there aren't a million auctions to choose from but there are some interesting examples of how to use Jobpic to earn some extra cash or to find a freelancer to do some work for you.

Here are some of the services available, with current bids:
  • Wordpress installation - $8
  • Twitter account creation - $5
  • Pet, Child or Elder sitting - $10
  • Business card design - $25
  • Drum lessons - $15
  • Fresh made food - $5-$75
  • Haircuts - $10
  • Yoga lessons - $5
  • Home building consultation - $30
  • Lessons of all sorts - $2-$45
  • Translation services - $7
These are just a sampling of the services offered up for auction on Jobpic. Thanks to the auction format you can bid on these services and hopefully strike a deal that you wouldn't be able to match by going to a business with overhead to cover.

If you don't want to wait for the auction to end most auctions come with a "Book Me Now" price to purchase a service straightaway. If you don't see the service you need up for auction on Jobpic you can always create a Job request that other members can fill.

Becoming a seller of services on Jobpic is, like the rest of the site, incredibly simple to do. In less than five minutes I had signed up, uploaded an image to my portfolio to show experience and listed my first auction for a cell phone or netbook consultation. Listing my auction is free. When I sell my service Jobpic charges $2 and a 2% fee for connecting us.

What I really like about Jobpic is that I can use it to sell the services I usually end up providing for friends free of charge. By branching out to the Internet I'm able to find other people who need help finding the perfect cellphone without the social stigma that surrounds charging friends for assistance.

I don't think you'll be able to make a living on Jobpic but it is an easy way to turn your skills into extra spending money while reaching a wider audience than Craigslist can provide without making multiple listings.

Jobpic is the perfect fit for anyone looking for more money whether you're on half days, recently retired or just a college student looking for beer money. Personally, I plan to use any money I make on Jobpic to pay for Christmas presents.
