JET Talks Travel
If you like rock music then you know the band JET. The band from Melbourne, Australia stormed the music scene in 2003 with their debut album Get Born and haven't looked back since. The group has sold over four million worldwide over two albums, the latter being Shine On which was released three years after their debut album. They combine the essence of classic rock with a touch of punk and the flare of modern rock to become a multi-platinum band.
AOL Travel caught up with the band that brought you hits like "Are You Gonna Be My Girl", "Cold Hard B*@ch" and "Shine On" to talk about their travel pet peeves, favorite destinations to get away and what the first thing they do when they get into a hotel room. Being musicians and on the road for the majority of the year, I'm sure they have some interesting things to share about their travels.
There seems to be a consistent theme with the travel pet peeves and favorite destinations of the celebrities we've talked to. Airport security and how extremely tight and inconsistent they are. We especially like the ticking flip flop! As for favorite destination, Hawaii, especially Kauai, seem to be the choice island to get away from it all.
JET is debuting a new album titled Shaka Rock on August 25, 2009. Be sure to grab a copy as soon as it's released as I'm sure it won't disappoint, especially with singles like "She's a Genius" and "K.I.A. (Killed in Action)". You can preview some of the songs of their new album at their site - JET THE BAND.
