Stocks set to start lower amidst more earnings, ahead of housing data

U.S. stocks were poised for a lower start Tuesday morning as investors are more hesitant about extending the two-week rally further. Today, more corporate results are due out, and investors will also focus on housing data coming out before the opening bell. There is also a hearing about energy trading that would be of interest to investors.
