Stocks to start lower ahead of earnings, economic reports this week

U.S. stock futures have remained in a tight range Monday morning, trading lower and higher to indicated that most than anything investors lack direction as they're nervous about this week full of earnings reports and key economic releases. Also, lender CIT Group is reportedly struggling to survive, adding to overall concerns about stability of the markets.
