Stocks set for flat to higher open as Madoff sentencing in focus

U.S. stocks were set for a mildly higher open Monday morning to start the shortened week. With the second half of the year ending tomorrow and key economic indicators coming later in the week, most investors will await what's to come. In the meanwhile, today the focus will be on the sentencing of Bernard Madoff for his multi-billion dollar Ponzi scheme.
