The Young Turks trash lack of post-bailout regulation

Updated

Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, a radio and internet talk show, taped a heated debate with the ironically named Adam Smith, a Democratic Congressman from Washington and, get this: Uygur schooled him with a series of well thought-out questions.

One of the best points Uygur makes: For all the talk about the massive leverage that brought down the financial system, nothing has been down to repeal the rule that allowed banks to go from 12:1 to 30:1 leverage ratios. The best part: Representative Smith didn't know whether it had been switched back!

Watch this video and see if you're as appalled as I am: The 39-year old satellite radio host knows more about the financial crisis than a U.S. Congressman.
