The best job in the world? Hardly

Many megabytes have been chewed up about the contest run by the Australian Tourism Bureau to be a highly paid beach bum, what the organizers dubbed "The Best Job in the World." But winner Briton Ben Southall may have cushy $110,000 job lounging around a tropical island, but there are plenty cushier such as the celebrities who are paid gobs of money just to be themselves.

Take Paris Hilton. The professional celebrity gets paid a small fortune to show up places and party. Her fees have recently dropped from $125,000 to $50,000. Some U.K. clubs apparently have grown tired of the antics of the hotel heiress.
