Stocks set for a sharply lower open on swine flu concerns

U.S. stock futures fell sharply Monday morning as investors worried the outbreak of deadly swine flu could possibly derail a recovery in the global economy.

The Obama administration declared a public health emergency Sunday because of the flu outbreak as the number of suspected cases in the U.S. increased to 20.
