"Boomerang" kids: When adults move back in with Mom and Dad

With homes in foreclosure and careers in limbo, more kids are moving back in with their parents.

But not recent college graduates: No, the new boomerang kids are moving back in with mom and dad after a couple decades on their own. According to the AARP, the number of multi-generational households has increased from 5 million in 2000 to 6.2 million in 2008 -- an increase of 24%.

The Today Show took a look at the issue, and one contributor suggested that the build-up in boomerangs could be a "win-win" for everyone, with families having a chance to get closer and pass on traditions. Somehow I doubt that most people in this situation are having that much fun.
