Yeah! Make Magazine makes it to TV

I'm a sucker for the homemade, the kitchy, and the repurposed, so I'm a sucker for Make Magazine. Make bills itself as "the first magazine devoted entirely to DIY technology projects," but that only describes the devices, not the attitude, which is often hilariously counterculture. Now the magazine has grown its own TV appendage, Make:television.

The TV show features the same content as the magazine, but boiled down and punched up with video. In this sample, we learn about a device that will scream for you, a laser harp, cupcakes you can drive, and my personal fav, TV-B-Gone, a ball cap that can turn off televisions in public places.

Each of the weekly episodes also features a Maker Profile (this week, performance artists who build bike contraptions from discarded parts), a workshop (how to build an automated cat feeder from an old VCR), and how-to tips.

While conventional television continues to pump out crap reality shows and CSI clones, is it any wonder that Internet television such as Make:Television is eating its lunch?
