Will e-holster serve manly need for un-purse?

Updated

On any given day, I walk around with my Crackberry, Moleskine notebook and pen, earphones, wallet, keys, knife, thumb drive, various ointments, comb and handkerchief jammed in my pants pockets, which distend my trousers to the point I look like I'm wearing clown pants. I've never been comfortable enough in my masculinity to adopt a man-bag, however, so the e-Volve Gadget Shoulder Holster could be an answer to my sartorial dilemma.

The holster, with compartments that can hold a cell, PDA, camera, pen, paper, change, and miniature nunchucks, rests alongside one's trunk, under the arm between armpit and waistband. The holster is held in place by a wide strap around the shoulder, and a narrower one that loops over the opposite shoulder. The holster name is apt, as it most resembles a gun holster for concealed carry.

Would you wear one? My first reaction was that the device has a high cool factor. I can fantasize, while wearing it, introducing myself as Barlow. Tom Barlow. On second blush, though, I have to admit that I'm not an alpha fashion adopter; in fact, I'm more of a zeta who wears sweats most of the day. This would likely join the Indiana Jones hat, bow ties and poncho in my closet of Things That Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time.

Thanks, Engadget
