No more 'treats' allowed as birthday treats!

Updated

This is an outrage! Schools are banning cupcakes as a birthday treat. Are you kidding me? Children wait all year long for the one day when they get to bring the birthday treats, and birthdays aren't birthdays without cupcakes. School administrators are saying that the focus shouldn't be on food when it's your birthday anyway. So they're telling parents to send healthy "treats" or to send nothing at all.

Hint: Kids aren't fat because of cupcakes at school. They're fat because their parents consistently feed them fast food, junk food, and high sugar drinks, and then let them sit in front of the television for hours at a time.

Let kids be kids and let parents send whatever birthday treats they want to send. It's the kid's one day out of the year. Why ruin it by suggesting they pass out apples for the celebration?
