Vermont innkeepers create the ultimate getaway: An escape from the gas pump!

Located in Lyndonville, Vermont, the Wildflower Inn seems to have it all: hiking, biking, bird watching, tennis, and tons of other activities. It has beautiful gardens, numerous dining options, and a selection of organic foods. It's convenient for trips to Canada, the White Mountains, and the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream factory. In fact, the Inn's only shortcoming is that it's approximately a half mile from the middle of nowhere. While its isolation could be a major selling point in better times, current gas prices make it inconvenient for all but the most determined vacationers.

Realizing that the cost of fuel is a big concern for potential guests, Jim and Mary O'Reilly, the Wildflower's owners, decided to take OPEC out of the equation. With a two night reservation, the Wildflower is offering a $50 gas card, a move that should bring a Vermont vacation into range for many customers. Best of all, with the Wildflower picking up the cost of gas, a weekend at the Inn translates into an escape from both work and the fuel pump!
