Minimum wage worker returns $30K found in dress

Barbarita Nunez was sorting through clothes donated to the Southern California Veteran's Thrift Store where she worked when she ran across a small box. Inside she found $30,000 cash.

Of course, you know what happened next; you wouldn't be reading this if she'd pocketed her find. What she did, in an admirable display of honesty, was turn it in to her supervisor. The money was traced back to the estate of an elderly woman who had recently passed away. The grateful family gave Nunez an unspecified reward, which she plans to spend on an eye operation for her mother and a digital camera.

Contrast this with the high-profile Wall Street criminals who, although they already have millions, steal millions more. Perhaps it is they that should be put to work sorting used clothing. Maybe they'd pick up a little of Mrs. Nunez's righteousness.
