Buy two paperbacks and get the third for free, Barnes & Noble

Updated

The daily deal for March 7, 2008

is Barnes & Noble's buy two books and get the third for free. Customers can choose three books designated "favorite paperbacks" and the least expensive is free.

The books are all bestsellers, but some haven't graced the list for some time. Fiction selections include Jodi Picoult's The Pact, Barbara Kingsolver's The Poisonwood Bible and Ann Patchett's Bel Canto. Kitchen Confidential, Anthony Bourdain's entertaining tell-all about the restaurant world, is on the non-fiction list, along with The Pursuit of Happyness by Chris Gardner and Sidney Poitier's memoir, The Measure of a Man. As far as I'm concerned, the offer is worthwhile simply to score another copy of Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird, which is priceless.

The offer is available online, and purchases are nonrefundable.
