Get some free (or really cheap) coffee while Starbucks is closed!

Updated

The Consumerist is reporting

that during this evening's countrywide shutdown of Starbucks, other companies will be offering free or really cheap coffee to try to lure in new customers. The site reports that Dunkin Donuts will be offering 99 cent espressos from 1:00pm to 10:00 pm. In some locations (like Chicago), free lattes will be given away.

All McDonald's in the Houston area are giving away free medium iced coffees from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. If a coffee shop or restaurant is running a deal in your area, please comment and let us know where and how much!

And fear not... if you're addicted to Starbucks, they'll open again in the morning, business as usual. The shutdown is for training of all employees, since customers have been complaining that the quality of their drinks has been inconsistent.
