20 cities that are reopening from pandemic shutdowns and how to get jobs there now

Over the past nine weeks, 38 million people in the U.S. have filed for jobless benefits amid the coronavirus pandemic that has shut down businesses across the country. But as the country begins to reopen, companies are looking to hire new employees.

As of May 20, 37 states have begun to reopen their economies in some meaningful way. As states reopen across the country, check out companies hiring in their major cities for $100K+ jobs.

1. Birmingham, Alabama

Alabama’s stay-at-home order ended on April 30, at which point the state transitioned to a “safer at home” model. In the state, outdoor recreation areas have opened, retail shops have opened, restaurants and bars have opened, and personal care businesses like salons have opened.
