Arch Manning, the five-star nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning, has been linked to the same schools for most of his recruitment.

The class of 2023 quarterback recruit has mostly been connected to Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ole Miss and Texas, among other schools.

However, two new schools have reportedly been making a big push for the commitment of the five-star quarterback recruit.

According to a report from 247Sports, Ohio State and Florida have been attempting to get into the mix with Arch Manning.

Arch Manning has had some notable visitors as of late, with Alabama head coach Nick Saban and Georgia head coach Kirby Smart checking out his basketball games.

Ohio State and Florida, meanwhile, are trying to make up ground.

“You got the schools that he took two visits to Alabama, Ole Miss, Georgia and Texas. Those are the schools that I think are in the best position but as Nelson Stewart, the head coach at Isidore Newman, said Tuesday morning, Arch is going to be thorough. And again, Ohio State, they’re chopping wood here. Coach Stewart pointed to Ryan (Day and) his track record at the position, so maybe they get a visit down the road. I think the point is that Arch Manning’s taking it slow, taking his time, still talking to a lot of schools, and in the spring will resume visits and we’ll see where he goes,” Steve Wiltfong said.

“Does he go back to those schools for a third time? I think some of them will certainly get a third visit. Could he go see another school for the first time as a prospect? I certainly believe that that’s on the table, too. So he’s taking his time, he’s enjoying being a junior in high school and he’s playing basketball now. And that’s his focus right now. And he’s still talking to coaches when he can, but no college visits ’til after basketball.”

Arch Manning will reportedly stay patient with his recruitment. We might not get a final decision until later this year.
