2 passengers injured in incident involving vehicles at CATA station in downtown Lansing

LANSING – Two passengers of the Capital Area Transportation Authority were injured Sunday afternoon in downtown Lansing, an official confirmed Monday evening.

Two Capital Area Transportation Authority vehicles had an “incident” Sunday, and two passengers aboard the Route 10 vehicle were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries, CATA Director of Marketing, Customer Experience and Public Information Lolo Robison said.

The incident happened at the CATA Transportation Center at 420 S. Grand Ave.

Robison did not provide further details. It’s not clear whether buses or some other type of vehicles owned by the transportation authority were involved, how many passengers were in either vehicle or exactly what transpired.

“Both (passengers) are in our thoughts,” Robison said. “We hope they are doing well and in good health.

Lansing Police Department Public Information Officer Jordan Gulkis earlier Monday said the department did not immediately have information about the incident.
