Wednesday marked the first practice for the Kansas City Chiefs as they prepare to take on the Buffalo Bills in this weekend’s divisional round matchup.

According to head coach Andy Reid, only two players on the active roster were unavailable for today’s workout: running back Darrel Williams and cornerback Rashad Fenton.

Williams, who’s dealing with a nagging toe injury, was limited to just eight snaps during this past weekend’s Wild Card win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. In his absence, reserve RB Jerick McKinnon stepped up with a big-time performance — logging 142 yards from scrimmage and a receiving touchdown.

Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire has missed the Chiefs’ last three games, but was active in today’s practice.

Fenton, who started eight games for Kansas City this season, was a late scratch before his team’s Wild Card win. According to Reid, the cornerback’s back “locked up” just before the contest.

The Chiefs will face off against the Bills this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
