1A Division II All-Idaho football team: The top players from the state’s smallest schools

Note: The All-Idaho teams are chosen by a vote of the state’s coaches. The Idaho Statesman hosts the vote and publishes the results.

1A DIVISION II ALL-IDAHO PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Ty Koepp, Kendrick

If the 6-2, 170-pound junior quarterback wasn’t carving defenses through the air, he was a running threat who left everyone in the dust. A first-team pick last year, he threw for 2,001 yards with 32 TDs. And he added 567 yards and 10 TDs on the ground, guiding the Tigers to their second straight state title and a perfect season.

“Outstanding talent and leader,” Mullan-St. Regis coach Stetson Spooner said. “Calm and cool all the time.”

Kendrick quarterback Ty Koepp was voted the 1A Division II All-Idaho Player of the Year by the state’s coaches.

A two-time, first-team selection, the 5-10 senior ran for 1,389 yards and 16 TDs, adding 588 receiving yards and eight TDs.

RB: Payten Sneddon, Dietrich

A threat on the edge and between the tackles, the senior racked up 1,341 total yards and 23 TDs at 9.6 yards per carry.

The senior could also play tight end. But he excelled out wide, turning 50 catches into 1,049 yards and 16 TDs.

WR: Ethan Roland, Castleford

The senior earned another first-team spot by racking up 1,854 yards of offense and 22 total touchdowns.

OL: Dallas Morgan, Kendrick

Already a two-time, first-team pick, the 6-3, 255-pound junior was a terror coming down the line as a pulling guard.

OL: Jack Silflow, Kendrick

The 6-2, 275-pound senior suffocated nose guards, and his strength opened up plenty of gaps in the rushing attack.

OL: Dason Pizano, Dietrich

The 5-11, 215-pound senior’s athleticism on sweeps and screens opened up the Blue Devils’ playbook.

K: Salvador Camarillo, Hansen

He handled all of the Huskies’ kicking duties, and the 6-3, 245-pound senior drilled 14 kicks for touchbacks.

DEFENSE

DL: Dallas Morgan, Kendrick

A repeat All-Idaho selection on both lines, teams resorted to running away from him when double teams failed.

DL: Jack Siflow, Kendrick

No running game was safe with him. He consistently gave centers fits and lived in opposing backfields.

DL: Wyatt Vining, Council

The Long Pin’s player of the year only played in six games. But the 6-3, 225-pound senior still had nine sacks and 42 tackles.

LB: Lane Clemenhagen, Kendrick

A hybrid linebacker/safety, the 5-10, 155-pound junior flew around the field and delivered big hits in the box and in space.

LB: Troy Smith, Camas County

The junior was the glue of the Mushers’ defense with 88 tackles, 1.5 sacks, three INTs and four forced fumbles.

LB: Jaiden Hunt, Garden Valley

The Long Pin’s defensive MVP, the 5-11, 210-pound senior racked up 131 tackles and 12 tackles for loss.

DB: Jagger Hewett, Kendrick

Quarterbacks rarely tested the shutdown corner, who had six interceptions, including four in the final and semifinal.

DB: Cody Power, Dietrich

A second-team DB last year, the senior is a two-way, first-team pick this fall with 70 tackles and two interceptions.

P: Salvador Camarillo, Hansen

The first-team kicker repeats as a first-team punter after averaging 48 yards per punt with a long of 62.
