Welcome to our latest Cape Cod and Islands High School Player of the Week Poll.

High school sports fans can vote for which softball players they think were standouts during the previous week.

The poll will be open from Friday through Thursday. The winner will be announced on Friday along with the new poll. Votes are unlimited.

Rules of the Road

Votes must be cast via the Cape Cod Times website/mobile sites. Votes submitted via email and social media will NOT be accepted. To vote for this week's Player of the Week, scroll down on this page.

Hailey Lanciani, Monomoy

Lanciani is the first softball winner of the season with 60% of the votes. She led the way for the Sharks as she went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored in 16-11 win over Sandwich.

Alexa Barboza, Dennis-Yarmouth

Barboza led the Dolphins in a loss to Durfee as she went 4-for-5 at the plate with three singles and a double.

Molly Belfiore, Falmouth

Belfiore was 2-for-3 with a triple, one run, and two RBIs in a 8-0 win over Monomoy.

Anna Bennett, Falmouth

Bennett went 2-for-4 with a double, one run, and two RBIs in a win over Monomoy.

Rylin Briggs, Falmouth

Rylin Briggs pitched seven innings, struck out 19, and allowed three hits for Falmouth in a 8-3 win over Sturgis. At the plate, Briggs went 2-for-3, with a home run, two scored runs and two RBIs. Later in the week, she threw a no-hitter in a win over Monomoy, and added two RBIs.

Seren Cristler, Nantucket

Cristler struck out 10 on the mound for the Whalers 17-5 win over St. John Paul II.

Annabella DiGiacamo, Barnstable

DiGiacamo went 2-for-2 with two RBIs in a loss to D-Y.

Meadow Deide, Upper Cape

Deide led the Rams offense as she scored five times and had two RBIs in a 26-5 win over Barnstable.

Charleigh Hicks, Dennis-Yarmouth

Hicks collected three hits, which included hit a solo home run to left field in the second inning, and two singles for the Dolphins 16-4 win over Barnstable.

Kate Huse, Monomoy

Huse went 4-for-4 with a RBI in a 6-4 win over Cardinal Spellman.

Taysia Lopes, Upper Cape

Lopes scored four times and had three RBIs at the plate, and struck out 11 on the mound for Upper Cape's victory over Barnstable.

Reino was 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBIs, three stolen bases, and an inside the park home run for Sturgis 16-11 win over Nantucket.

Elsa Wienser, Sturgis

Elsa Wienser pitched all seven innings with 14 strikeouts, and gave up six earned runs, in a win over Nantucket.
