148,000 pounds of chicken patties sold at Costco recalled after plastic found inside

The latest not-food-in-your-food recall posted to the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service site on Saturday involved 148,000 of Foster Farms Chicken Patties that went to Costco locations.

Foster Farms told FSIS that “it received consumer complaints reporting hard clear plastic embedded in fully cooked, frozen, breaded chicken breast patty products with a best by date of Aug. 11, 2023,” the recall notice says.

“There have been no confirmed reports of injury associated with consumption of this product, but FSIS believes the hard plastic pieces could be sharp and possibly cause an injury.”
