14 Fort Worth restaurants cited for presence of insects and other pests
Over a dozen Fort Worth restaurants were cited for having flies, and other insects and rodents, in their establishments in recent health inspections.
From June 26 through July 2, 61 restaurants underwent health inspections. No restaurant was shut down for serious violations, but one was cited for over 30 demerits, which required the food establishment to fix the worst problems immediately and clean up the rest within 48 hours.
Rio Mambo - Cityview, located at 6125 SW Loop 820, scored a 32. The restaurant was cited for cross contamination of food, organic black matter inside the ice machine, food being handled without gloves and proper hair nets, the presence of insects and pests and dirty floors, ceilings and walls.
Other poor scores included Taste of Asia, located at 4484 Bryant Irvin Road, with a 28; Hopdoddy Burger Bar, located at 2300 W. 7th St.; and Mira Vista Country Club, located at 6600 Mira Vista Blvd., which both scored a 26.

Oscar Food Mart, located at 4245 Wilbarger St., flies inside facility
Macaluso’s Italian Restaurant, located at 2443 Forest Park Blvd., cited for dead insects and other pests in the light cover
On the Border #102, located at 4411 Bryant Irvin Road, flies in back of kitchen
Joe’s Italian Pizza, Pasta, Subs, located at 1601 Park Place Drive, cited for “dead insects, rodents and other pests have not been removed from the facility. Observed dead flies in the two compartment sink.”
